If you’re reading this, you somehow stumbled across my Medium page.

I’m abandoning Medium and focusing exclusively on my blog, which you can find at www.dpthoughts.ca

Why? Mostly on Principle.

Medium recently made some changes to its platform, and the result is that I’m no longer able to earn any money from people reading my work on here. (Essentially, they’ve removed my ability to put a paywall in place for any stories that might generate significant views.)

This is certainly within their right — their platform, their rules!

Also, I think I’ve earned something like $3 from my writing on here… so this change isn’t exactly causing my financial hardship.

But if I’m going to give away content for free, I’m going to do it on my blog, not on a platform that will take the content I provide for free and use it to make money for themselves. My content, my rules!

So… please visit dpthoughts.ca and binge all the marketing, brand, advertising, leadership, talent management, entertainment, and inspirational content that your heart desires!
